The Cuero Record

The filmmaking process is a work of art in itself that requires a conceptualizing process. With many factors involved in the development of the film, the director plays one of the most vital roles in conveying their message to the audience. For an upcoming film directed by Chris Kinzie, Cuero will play an integral role as a venue for his filmmaking process.

Growing up in the New Braunfels/San Antonio area, Kinzie has Cuero ties. Kinzie graduated from Texas Tech University and has been using most of his time pursuing his filmmaking aspirations. With more than five years of filmmaking experience under his belt, Kinzie has around five or six films that he has already completed. His upcoming film plans to be one of his biggest projects to date.

For his project, Kinzie will be producing a crime film titled “Blind Escape.” The films’ setting will be shot at Horsin Around, and a few other areas that include bits of Westhoff. The plan is to promote Cuero to a bigger audience. Kinzie has already begun shooting small pieces of the film, but plans to do the majority of the shooting around June 15-July 1. Shooting will take place over 15 days, with an anticipated completion date of the film being around early October. After production is complete, Kinzie plans on showing the film at a local viewing event for the community.
