Knetig named 2022 Nordheim valedictorian

After recently achieving a major goal, being named the 2022 Nordheim valedictorian, Jesicca Knetig sat down to discuss her high school years and what led up to her achievement.

“My main interest through high school was finishing it,” Knetig said, “but I guess math was always the biggest thing for me. It just came easy to me. Writing was okay, I never liked writing, but I got it done.”

During high school, she was inducted into the National Honor Society and competed in UIL. Knetig doesn’t recall a time when she began trying for valedictorian, but stated that she simply always worked as hard as she could.

“I’d probably say it [becoming valedictorian] is my biggest achievement. It was a nice feeling, it made me feel accomplished, I felt like I achieved my goal. All the work I put in was worth it, I guess.”
