Time tends to fly by when having fun, and that’s been the case at the Boys & Girls Club of DeWitt County (BGCDC) since they first opened their doors on June 16, 2014.

The Club will celebrate their fifth birthday on June 27 with the community invited to attend and learn more about what they have to offer. Four girls, who have participated in activities provided by BGCDC since its start five years ago, all agreed that the Club offers a great place to interact with friends outside of school.

Those students, ranging from 10-12 years old, are Jayden James, Skylar James, A’Zia Lee and Shania Burden.

“We spend time with our friends, and we have fun,” Lee said. “I’ve really enjoyed it since I’ve been coming.”

They were all in consensus that the computer lab was an integral part of what the Club has for kids.
