Although the Pritchetts disagreed on whether Jennie’s dress was red with white polka dots, or white with red polka dots, Greg had no doubt that he fell in love when he first saw her in it. Celebrating 25 years of marriage on Feb. 10, 2020, Jennie and Greg Pritchett had originally planned to get married at the DeWitt County Courthouse on Valentine’s Day in 1995.

Greg Pritchett moved to Cuero from Lake McQueeny to take the Chief Financial Officer position at the Cuero Hospital where Jennie worked, and as she explains it: “he didn’t know he was going to get an instant family.”

Before arriving to Cuero, however, a few things happened that led Greg to believe that it was destined for him to be there.

“This is where it all sort of got into my mind that this was meant to be, like God meant this,” he stated. “I got the job, I sold my house within two days, and then boom, I moved here–and saw her.”

The couple described their first date, which was in November, as, well, not the greatest.

“It was a Progressive Dinner through the church,” said Jennie, “and it was horrible because nobody knew we were on a date.”
