Joyce Afflerbach, affectionately called “Nonna” by family members, turned 100 on Jan. 6.
Joyce is the youngest of three children, she had an older brother and sister. She spent her childhood in Smiley where her love for animals began at a young age.
Her son, Gerry Afflerbach, said she started riding a horse back and forth to school around the age of 13. Playing the guitar was also a favorite…
