Patriot Package Store now open

According to Patriot Package Store’s owner Stormi Beck, a package store is what liquor stores used to be called, and her TABC license is for a package store.

Now you know.

Patriot Package Store has been open since Wednesday, Nov. 17. It was a soft opening, and a grand opening will be coming soon.

“I’m excited,” said Beck. “I’ve had a restaurant before, but we didn’t serve alcohol, so the retail end of it is so much different.”

“My husband is a veteran. We’re very involved from that aspect. For us, it’s all about our country. We’re very patriotic and we’re very much behind our veterans, active military law enforcement, fire, EMS--all of our first responders. We’ll be doing discounts for all of them. We’ll also do discounts for large orders like weddings and parties, and then we’ll reach out to the mixed beverage places.”

Patriot Package Store has a few tweaks to make in order to improve what they already have. Beck said, “We’re going to put a new roof on first, and then get signage up. We’re in the old W2 location, and we have a banner up temporarily until all of that is done.”
