The Cuero Record

Chad Ganaway has continued to put his athletes in a position to compete at an exceptional level. Formerly the gym coach at South Texas Elite Gymnastics in Cuero from 2002-2014, Ganaway is now coaching at Full Force Gymnastics in Victoria. Over the years, Ganaway’s experience and high-level coaching have seen him enforce a winning philosophy.

“I started coaching in 1997 at Manning Gymnastics here in Victoria. In the year 2000, I had my first athlete win Nationals, and then I have actually had a kid win at Nationals every year since,” stated Ganaway.

Recently attending the upper-level USAG National Championship in Des Moines, Iowa from June 20-26, Full Force Gymnastics drove their way to Iowa to compete against some of the top-tier elite athletes from around the country.

“It’s everybody in the United States [competing], you literally have teams there that have Olympians that coach, and World Champions. You are going up against the best of the best in the country,” summarized Ganaway on the event.

Out of the eight athletes to make the trip, three (Daizy Rickman, Caleigh Ganaway, and Kylie Ortiz) finished in the top six in their respective events.
