School board members sworn in

On Monday, May 16, at 8 p.m., the YISD board held a special meeting to canvass the votes of the recent election and swear in the new board members. The votes were approved, then Chris Romans, Aaron Koopman and Jeff Sievers were sworn in. Positions within the board were voted on and the board approved Ben Hahn as board president, John Young as vice president, and Chris Romans as secretary. The new board members will receive training over the summer
