Software contracts approved at commissioners meeting

The regular meeting of DeWitt County commissioners’ court took place on Monday, May 23, starting at 9 a.m. A public hearing was held regarding the establishment of a 35 mph speed limit on Schlinke Road, which previously had a 60 mph speed limit. As there were no public comments, the hearing was closed and commissioners approved the change.

Next, Roxanne Aldridge with TCDRS gave the plan assessment for the Texas county and district retirement system, which commissioners approved. A license and service agreement with Tyler Technologies for use in the DeWitt County Clerk’s Office for the price of $105,807 was approved and Spindle Media was approved for use for tax office software, as was the first payment of $27,500 for data migration and implementation. A dissemination agreement with NET Data, the old tax office software, was approved for a payment of $37,000.

Certificates of completion from the DMV for tax assessor-collector Ashley D. Mraz and chief deputy Esther Francis were received, recognizing the completion of title fraud continuing education for 2022.

A resolution supporting the waiver of match fund participation requirements for bridge projects with TxDOT was approved and reports of recent inspections of off-system bridges from TxDOT received, then commissioners rescheduled the June 13 meeting to June 9 at 9 a.m.
