Three candidates first to file for March 1 Primaries

Saturday, Nov. 13, was the first day for candidates to file with their respective party leaders, to run for election on the March 1, 2022 primaries.

The first candidates to officially file with the DeWitt County Republican Party are James Pilchiek Sr. for County Commissioner, Precinct Two (incumbent); Richard Randle, for County Commissioner, Precinct Four (incumbent); and Selena Condie for Justice of the Peace, Precinct One.

At press time, no Democrat candidates have officially filed for candidacy.

Positions up for grabs, locally, are County Court Judge, County Commissioners in precincts two and four, Justices of the Peace in precincts one and two, County Clerk and Deputy County Clerk and County Treasurer.

Candidates have until Dec. 13, 2021, to file in order to be eligible to run for election.
