Yorktown’s graduating class of 2021 valedictorian, Katelyn Dodds, sat down for an interview to discuss her high school years, and all of the things she’s done.

“I’ve been in varsity volleyball, basketball, and track throughout my whole high school career. I’ve been a part of Student Council all four years, I’m an FFA member, and I am in NHS.”

In response to a question about what she is most proud of, Dodds responded, “Valedictorian is one of my biggest accomplishments because ever since I was little my mom was so hard on me about my grades. Being able to accomplish it for her was more of an accomplishment for me; it was good to see all her hard work as a mother to be achieved through me. And she was valedictorian of her class, so that’s something she enjoyed seeing me accomplish as well.”
