‘I want to be like them’ is what Ella Jander thought as a little girl about the Miss Cuero pageant and now she is Miss Cuero. Jander was crowned Saturday night on the Lifeway Baptist Church stage.

The Cuero Independent School District recently received the Department of Justice STOP School Violence Grant for safe and supportive schools which helps provide free youth mental health first aid training to local law enforcement and first-responders that serve the youth in the local community and schools.

People in community leadership positions have agreed to collaborate to ensure the Cuero Regional Hospital gains as much support as possible from the people it serves. The group met for the second time on Friday, March 31, and agreed to engage in a community outreach and special projects initiative called HealthConnect.
