January is School Board Recognition Month and Cuero ISD is celebrating its trustees for their dedication and commitment to the district and its students. The theme of this year’s School Board Recognition Month is Forward, Together, which highlights the collaboration among school leadership, teachers, and parents on behalf of students.

The Pilot Club of Cuero presented a check to the Cuero High School Anchor Club for $1,000 to help with costs for students to attent the Texas District Anchor Club Convention in February. The Anchor Club helps high school students learn valuable skills that prepare them to become more understanding of those in need while having fun through fellowship and service. The focus for Anchor and Pilot is brain health awareness through education of brain related disorders and effects of traumatic brain injury on individuals and their caregivers. CONTRIBUTED PHOTO
