Yorktown FFA Project Show scheduled for Feb. 4

The 84th Annual Yorktown FFA Project Show will be held on Saturday, Feb 4, at the Yorktown FFA Show Barn. This is a family-friendly event that will showcase Yorktown High School students’ animal and ag mechanic projects. This year, the show will include 45 animal projects consisting of steers, goats, lambs, and hogs. The market animal judging will begin at 9 a.m. and the premium auction will begin at 1 p.m.

Yorktown Academic Team competes in Shiner Shootout

The Dorks of York(Yorktown High School’s Academic Team) competed Jan. 19 in the Shiner Shootout UIL A Meet. Twenty-two schools of all classifications participated, making the meet very competitive with hundreds of entries.

The theme of this year’s School Board Recognition Month is Forward, Together, which highlights the collaboration among school leadership, teachers, and parents on behalf of students.

Pilot Club makes donation to CISD Anchor Club

The Pilot Club of Cuero presented a check to the Cuero High School Anchor Club for $1,000 to help with costs for students to attent the Texas District Anchor Club Convention in February. The Anchor Club helps high school students learn valuable skills that prepare them to become more understanding of those in need while having fun through fellowship and service.
