Around 2 p.m. this afternoon, an auto-pedestrian accident took place in Cuero. According to law enforcement on the scene, a red Ford sedan was traveling west bound on the 200 block of Main street.
Ice and snow from this historically unprecedented state-wide freeze has caused electric utilities across Texas to deploy controlled rotating outages to help stabilize the Texas energy grid.
With the severe drop in temperatures over the last couple of days, some residents have lost power temporarily but for the most part, the city of Cuero has faired far better than surrounding areas.
Winter weather in south Texas has brought more than unfavorable outside conditions. Many people have been without electricity since early Monday morning.
