Cuero Regional Hospital will be hosting a blood drive for the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center in the Education Classroom on Thursday, January 18th, from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm. Anyone who is 16 years old weighing 120 pounds (with parental consent form), or at least 17 years old weighing 110 pounds, and in good general health can donate blood. On December 20, 2023 the DeWitt County Sheriff’s Office received a call at 0746 hrs. in reference to Criminal Mischief. Upon arrival there were three different victims of Criminal Mischief that occurred on E Fourth Street in Yorktown Texas. There were a total of five (5) slashed tires, Christmas decorations taken and a stop sign that had been spray painted.

New TCL Franchise Included in Generals 2024 Schedule

The Texas Collegiate League released the 2024 season schedule this week as the TCL is set to launch their 21st season of wood bat collegiate baseball. The 2024 season will be the 16th for the Victoria Generals as they seek their 3rd TCL Championship.

Celebrating 175 Years: Christmas Days

With this being the 2nd or 3rd Day of Christmas it would be a misdeed not to muse over Yorktown’s Celebrations past and present. There isn’t anything other than a hanging Christmas tree and a large number of Nativity Scenes that have been donated in the museum that speaks to Celebrations of Christmas.
