Elizabeth Y. “Liz” Guzman
Liz was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend who treasured every gathering, especially those spent with her grandchildren and great-grandson. Her love for her family was immeasurable. She was also an avid football fan, with a special fondness for the Cuero Gobblers, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Kansas City Chiefs. 4Above all, Liz was a woman of deep faith. She found peace and comfort in reading her Bible, a practice she followed faithfully every day.
Liz is survived by her daughter, Krystal Hernandez-Diaz (Frank); sisters, Pat Villa (Ismael) and Marty Frederick (Jeff); brother, Santiago “Jim” Guzman; grandchildren, Kelby Crider, Konstance Hernandez, and Kingston Hernandez-Carmona; great-grandson, Korbin “Toot” Cobey; and many nieces and nephews. 4She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Beverly Ann Hernandez.
Visitation will begin at 9 am on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Cuero with a rosary to be recited at 9:30 am. 4A Nurse Honor Guard Tribute will begin at 10 am and funeral mass will follow with Father Jacob Mendoza officiating.
