John G Roller

John G Roller, 92, of Cuero passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024. He was born November 3, 1931 in Davy to John J and Millie Rohan Roller. He proudly served in the United States Army. He married Ruth Sthele on August 20, 1955 in Yorktown. He worked for the state of Texas for thirty eight years. He enjoyed five years of retirement before he started working for The City of Cuero where he would work for fifteen more years. He enjoyed playing Bingo, Dominoes and Wahoo. He also enjoyed crochet, ranching, fishing, coloring, gardening and building swings.

He is survived by his loving wife of sixty- eight years, Ruth; daughter, Susan Ochs (Steven); son, Mark Roller (Imelda); grandchildren, Cynthia Stanley (Dewayne), Courtney Vo (Khoa), Curtis Mueller (Kimberly) and Christy Fletcher (Tryston); great-grandchildren, Kayden Mueller, McKenzie Moore, Braysia Edwards, Thomas Villarreal IV, Remington Duncan, Jaxson Mueller, Colton Duncan, Evelyn Mueller and Cayson Stanley.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Elizabeth Sievers (Walter) and Helen Sievers (Milton). Pallbearers include Ray Sievers, Eugene Rios, George Solis, Tryston Fletcher, Larry Mueller and Dewayne Stanley.

Honorary Pallbearers include Tommy Gisler, Kayden Mueller, Curtis Mueller, Cynthia Stanley, Jaxson Mueller, Evelyn Mueller, Cayson Stanley, Melody Roller, Christy Fletcher and Courtney Vo.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 2, 2024, 1:00 PM, at Freund Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 PM with Pastor Tim W. Muehlbrad officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Yorktown.
