Jim Clyde Grigsby Jr., born on March 17, 1958, in Woodland, California, and a longtime resident of Cuero, Texas, passed away on August 6, 2024, at the age of 66. Jim's early years in California laid a foundation for a lifetime of dedication and adventure, traits that followed him into his service and personal life.

Jim enlisted in the US Army, serving honorably from 1976 to 1983. His time in the military was marked by a commitment to excellence and a willingness to take on challenges, embodying the ethos of the armed services.

Jim's passions extended beyond his military service; he was enthusiast of motorcycles, camping, and shooting sports, and being an all around handyman in just about everything. His love for the Kansas City Chiefs was well-known among his friends and family during football season. Jim also had a love of animals, especially his dogs.

Known for his good work ethic and stubborn yet sincere nature, Jim was a man who cherished independence and the ability to share his knowledge and stories with others. His storytelling was not just a pastime but a way of connecting with and teaching those around him, leaving a lasting impression on many.

Jim is survived by his Sons, Jared Wesley Grigsby and Kyle Dean Grigsby; Daughter, Erin Marie Bloch (Grigsby); Sisters, Pam Grigsby Jones and Leatha Martin (Grigsby); a niece, and multiple grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim Clyde Grigsby Sr. and Marjorie Belle Meenen (Grigsby).

Jim's life was a testament to his strong will, loving nature, and the deep bonds he forged throughout his years. His legacy will live on in the stories he told and the lessons he imparted, forever cherished by those who knew him.
