IDELL (DUBOSE) LUDE

IDELL (DUBOSE) LUDE

IDELL (DUBOSE) L UDE It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Idell (Dubose) Lude of Yorktown, Texas. She passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at age 86. She was born on March 31, 1939, to George and Lucy (Howard) Dubose. Idell was a graduate of Yorktown High School. She attended and graduated from Victoria Beauty College. She went to work for the Modern beauty shop in Yorktown. On November 11, 1961, she married our father, David William Lude, at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Weesatche, Texas. Idell and David settled down in Yorktown in a new home in Crestview and built a family. They were blessed with two sons first Jeffery David Lude and then Garrett Wayne Lude. She then became a stay-at-home mom raising two boys and taking care of everyday home life. Mom was skilled at sewing, cooking, crafting her own Christmas decorations, and gardening. She was well known for her beautiful yard and gardens. Mom enjoyed living a quiet life at home and gave her all to take care of her son Jeffrey David whom she looked after for 50 years as he had special needs. She never once complained. She most definitely earned her wings in heaven with our Lord and Savior.
