WANDA ELAINE F

She was born June 20, 1946 in Yorktown to Newton Edwin and Mattie Lee Hoefling Borgfeld. She married the love of her life Douglas Wayne Franke on February 23, 1964 in Yorktown at St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was a devoted, loyal and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, granny and greatgranny. She was a volunteer for many years as church treasurer. She worked side by side with her husband with their cattle and hay business. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her loved ones.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years Douglas Franke, children Denise Ann (Perry) Hiebner, Darren Wayne (Renee) Franke, Cynthia Elaine (Bryan) Albrecht, grandchildren Matthew (Kelsey) Hiebner, Travis (Kelsea) Hiebner, Alicia (Tyler) Zillig, John Henry, James (Aubrey) Albrecht, Emma Albrecht (Mark Schumann), Bryce Franke, Danielle Franke, great grandchildren Holden Hiebner, Grayer Hiebner, Aurora Hiebner, Charlotte Zillig, Kensley Zillig and Wyatt Baylor. She is also survived by her sisters Carolyn Ann (Walter) Bare and Peggy Lee (Paul) Pugh.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Edwin Charles Borgfeld and grandchild Angel Hiebner.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Hiebner, Travis Hiebner, John Henry, James Albrecht, Bryce Franke, Tyler Zillig, Mark Schumann and Cody Pugh. Honorary pallbearers are Kelsey Hiebner, Kelsea Hiebner, Alicia Zillig, Emma Albrecht, Aubrey Albrecht and Danielle Franke.

Funeral service 4 pm Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Weesatche, Texas. Interment to follow at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Cemetery in Weesatche, Texas.

Memorials may be given to Crown Hospice, St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church and Weesatche 4 Warriors.
