She was born August 17, 1948 in Tuttle, Oklahoma to Willie Huston and Prudence Agness Price Gore. She married W.T. “Tony” Allen on February 17, 1969 in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. She worked as secretary for The City of Cuero for 12 years and First Baptist Church for 10 plus years. She enjoyed spending time with family and her many trips to Disney World.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Tony; daughter, Tonya Allen Ramirez; sister, Dorothy Mills; brother, Bill Gore; nephew (more like a brother), Mike Brooks (Carol); grandchildren, Taylor Monk and Tatum Monk (Sam) and great-grandchildren, Mariah Grace Monk, Trinity Monk, Bentley Monk Hartsfield, Khloe Crawford and Leland Crawford.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Georgie Brown and June Brooks and brothers, Floyd Gore and Don Gore.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or donor’s choice.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
