IDELLA JOHNSON B ROOKS

She was born in Gonzales County Texas on November 4, 1929 to Stell and Bennie LaFond Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvis Brooks, Sr; three children, Calvis Brooks, Jr, Frederick Brooks and Beverly Brooks; her parents; three sisters and one brother.

She is survived by five children, Kenny Brooks, Della Brooks and Janie Brooks, of Cuero; Ben Brooks (Adeline) of San Antonio, Texas; Ronald Brooks (Ola) of Seguin, Texas; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one sister; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Saturday February 7, 2026 at New Testament Holiness Church in Cuero. Internment followed at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Cuero, Texas.
