ALICE ROGGE STACY

Alice Rogge Stacy, 83, of Houston died Thursday, February 19, 2026. She was born in Runge (Helena), Texas, on July 23, 1942, to Ed and Elsa Wunderlich Rogge. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Two weeks after she graduated from Runge High School in 1961 she was employed by Southwestern Bell in San Antonio until becoming a resident of Houston in 1963 where she married. She then was employed at Kerlin Employment Agency/Kelly Girls, and F.A. Callery and General Crude, independent oil companies. Her longtime employment with Tech-Sym Corporation, a New York Stock Exchange company, began in 1966, and continued until its sale to a private company in 2000 at which time she retired.

In addition to her function as assistant to the Corporate Counsel, she was responsible for shareholder relations and also the classified security officer. A legal secretary, she was also a member of the American Society of Corporate Secretaries. She loved music and the arts and was a devoted student of metaphysics and holistic health. Since 1972, she served the Association for Research and Enlightenment as a volunteer in many capacities including the founding of a health center in Spring Branch. For 35 years she hosted weekly Search for God meetings in her home which were open for anyone interested in meditation and a disciplined spiritual life.

Her great interest in cultural affairs included the Houston Grand Opera, Alley Theater, Museum of Fine Arts, Museum of Printing History, and the Carl Jung Institute. Although she lived in the city, her love was always for the country and nature which included spending time at her little farm in Nordheim.

Alice is survived by Gerard “Jerry” Robins of Houston who for many years, walked the path with her. She is also survived by two nephews, Patrick (Bethany) of Temple and Ross (Laura) Rogge of San Angelo; one niece, Debora Gabour and one great-niece, Christina Gabour of Colorado Springs; four great-nephews Merit, Shane, Seth, and Abel Rogge of San Angelo; family in the South Texas area, and by many close friends from all walks of life.

She is preceded in death by her parents and three brothers MSgt. Elroise Rogge, Elmo Rogge, Frank Rogge and nephew Eberhard Rogge.

Memorials may be given to St. Paul Luthern Church or donor’s choice.

Funeral service 2 pm Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Massey Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Westside Cemetery.
