Wanda Rohan

Wanda Rohan

Wanda Gail Rohan, 65 of Yorktown, Tx, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026. She was born September 6, 1960 in Uvalde, Tx to Paul and Mary Hilbrich. Wanda spent the first 20 years of her life as a big sister to her two brothers, Ricky and Gary Hilbrich. She married her loving husband James Rohan January 19, 1980. They spent 46 years building a beautiful life filled with memories for themselves and their three precious sons Eric, Chad, and Kevin.

Wanda Gail was a devout member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, an employee of Citizen’s Bank, and best known for her selflessness and joy for serving others. She loved her family deeply, and spent countless days and nights enjoying their company. It could have been shopping trips, screaming together over the phone about the Spurs, sitting in hospitals to welcome the newest members of her family, or caring for those who couldn’t care for themselves. She was a fabulous baker, whose family always looked forward to her sugar cookies at birthday parties, trash at Christmas, and the best pecan pralines you’ll ever find. She took every opportunity to be at any event or gathering she could for family and friends from celebrating graduations, weddings, and births to comforting those who experienced great loss. Wanda had a special God given gift of making everyone feel welcomed and cared for as if they were part of the family. Her greatest joy of all was becoming Red Truck Nana where she spent lots of quality time making special memories with her grandchildren. She knew just how short time on this earth was so she was intentional with all she had. Wanda was the best part of us. Her sweet smile and nurturing kindness will truly be missed.

Wanda is survived by her mother Mary Hilbrich, husband James Rohan, children Eric (Vanessa) Rohan, Chad (Christy) Rohan, Kevin (Miranda) Rohan; grandchildren Kylie, Alyssa, Devin, Marley, and Bennett, her brothers Ricky (Judy) Hilbrich, Gary Hilbrich, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members she loved dearly.

Wanda is preceded in death by her father Paul Hilbrich, mother and father-in-law Edward & Elenora Rohan, and her sister-inlaw Kay Hilbrich.
