Willie was a farmer and rancher. He loved to hunt and spend time with family and friends laughing and telling stories. He was a kind and giving man who will be so very missed by all who will remember his laughing blue eyes and love for a good time.
Left to cherish his memory is his sister Earlen Koopmann Jalufka and his nieces and nephews; Gary Butler (Charlene), Rodney Butler (Dawn), John Koopmann, Walter Koopmann (Cheryl), Ann Koopmann, Ralph Koopmann, Karen Koopmann Koenig (Curtis), Kirby Jalufka, Guy von Roeder (Kim), and Lisa von Roeder Mc-Donald (Ryan) along with his many grand nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers; Melvin Koopmann, Gilbert Koopmann, and Hilmer Koopmann. His sisters; Elvera Koopmann Butler and Doris Koopmann von Roeder.
Funeral service for Willie will be held Sunday, March 29th 2026 at 3:00 p.m. Visitation before at 2:00 p.m. at Massey Funeral Home, Yorktown, TX. Graveside services following at Westside Cemetery and reception at Gruenau Hall.
Pallbearers will be his nephews Gary Butler, Rodney Butler, John Koopmann, Walter Koopmann, Ralph Koopmann, and Kirby Jalufka.
The family would like to thank Crown Hospice and his wonderful caregivers Eloisa Valdez, Micaela Rodriguez, Sharon Garcia, and Cynthia Seals.
