Debbie Sue Billings Nesloney
Debbie Sue Billings Nesloney

Debbie was a cherished daughter and caring sister, who grew into a devoted wife and loving mother, and later became a proud nana, beloved aunt, and joyful great-nana to be. Family was everything to her. She had the biggest heart, the kind that made room for everyone. She loved deeply, gave endlessly, and stood strong for those she cared about.
Debbie was born on January 18, 1962, to Sterling Ray Billings and Zita Marie Pepau. From the very beginning, she carried a spirit of love, strength, and kindness that would go on to touch so many lives.
After high school, Debbie pursued nursing school and was close to completing her training but chose instead to follow her heart— marrying and beginning the family that became the center of her world.
On February 12, 1982, she married the love of her life, EJ Nesloney, Jr. Together they built a life rooted in love, family, and unwavering devotion.
Before settling down, Debbie and EJ, along with their two young daughters, spent years traveling throughout South Texas, following his work on oil rigs alongside a close-knit group of families. Those years were filled with hard work, strong bonds, and a shared sense of community that stayed with her throughout her life.
She was a dedicated stay-at-home mother while raising her two daughters, pouring her love and energy into her family during their early years.
Once her daughters were in school, Debbie began working at the Movie Shop/ Movie Gallery, where she became a familiar and friendly face to many until its closure in 2010. She then continued her career at H-E-B.
Her grandchildren, Jordan, Astrid, Jaida, RJ, Jerome, and Reighn, were her world and her greatest joy. They were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Debbie truly loved people. She had a natural gift for conversation and connection— whether you knew her for years or had just met her, she made you feel welcome. She could turn a simple interaction into something meaningful, leaving others smiling long after the moment had passed.
Known and loved by many, Debbie had a rare gift for making people feel safe, welcomed, and truly seen. Her kindness wasn’t something she reserved, it was simply who she was. Whether through her words, her presence, or her quiet strength, she left a lasting imprint on every life she touched.
Debbie’s passing was the result of septic shock, a sudden and overwhelming illness. Though her time with us was cut far too short, the love she gave and the life she lived will continue to ripple through generations.
Her presence was a steady light, and her absence leaves a space that cannot be filled. But her love remains—in every memory, every lesson, and every heart she shaped.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Zita Billings; her brother, Joe Billings; her niece, Sharon Hardt; and her nephew, Michael Hardt.
She is survived by her loving husband, EJ Nesloney, Jr.; her daughters, Desiree (Yvonne) Nesloney Tanguma and Christy Nesloney; her grandchildren, Jordan Blaylock, Jaida Blaylock, Astrid Pridgen, RJ Gore, Jerome Johnson, and Reighn Johnson; and two great-grandbabies on the way, along with many extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on April 9, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by funeral services at 2:00 PM at Finch Funeral Chapel, 212 E Main St, Yorktown, Texas. Burial will follow at Clinton Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jordan Blaylock, RJ Blaylock, Shamar Belvin, Javeon Mc-Nary, Jaida Blaylock, and Yvonne Tanguma.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
“Your love will always be our guide, and your memory will forever be our home.”
