Perry Knox Morris

Perry Knox Morris, 73, of Cuero passed away Friday, September 6, 2024. He was born November 11, 1950 in Ernul, NC to John and Minnie Knox Morris. He proudly served in the United States Army as an Orthopedic Specialist. He married Claudia Winegeart on April 14, 1973 in Gonzales. He worked for the Department of Defense for twenty-five years as a master plumber and then went on to become an inspector for the City of Cuero where he would work for the next ten years.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Claudia; daughters, Kimberly Morris Ortiz (Joe), Kristin Morris and Kerrie Morris (Jeremy); son, Kasey Morris; grandchildren, Shanay Smith (Quinton), Alex Ortiz (Marisa), April Stanley (TJ), Zha’vanna Gray, Charity Gray, Robert Gray, Kalista Morris, Kaleigha Morris, Kannon Knox Morris, Danielle Galindo and Vivian Galindo; great-grandchildren, Athena Smith, Diana Smith, Kiera Royer, Joanna Ortiz, Bailey Stanley and Bella Stanley as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John C. Morris and sisters, Genevieve Banks, Linda Tascione, Jackie Graham and Wanda Morris.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 12, 2024, 9:00 AM at Freund Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will follow at 10:00 AM with Dr. Glenn Robertson officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Kasey Morris, Jeremy Galindo, Alex Ortiz, Jimmy Tascione, Paul Graham and Donald Graham.

Honorary Pallbearers include TJ Stanley, Michael Schlinke, Jamal DeBose, Steve Sucher and John Morris.
