Edra Marie Ender Mazurkiewicz “Sandy” passed away in the early hours of Monday, October 21, 2024 in Yoakum, Texas. Edra (Sandy) was born April 10, 1941 to Eddie and Olga (Kubala) Ender in Yorktown, DeWitt County, Texas.

Sandy married Theodore “Ted” Paul Mazurkiewicz June 19, 1960. Edra was a strong yet traditional woman who worked a hand full of jobs in her lifetime with her focus being a housewife and raising her children. Sandy settled with Ted in the Houston area where they had two children Kevin Troy Mazurkiewicz and Wesley Paul Mazurkiewicz. They lived in Houston area and thrived. In 1984, they moved to Bryan College Station to start a family business. In 2004, they settled in Yorktown, Texas after Ted suffered from a major stroke. Sandy stood by Ted and took care of him until he passed in August of 2020.

Aside from being a wonderful, loving, devoted Mother Sandy had many talents. Sandy did arts and crafts in her spare time and was extremely talented. Sandy was an artist and painted many beautiful paintings for friends and family which are now precious heirlooms. Sandy was always volunteering for her children and their activities such as team sports, team Mom, and school activities. Sandy was a fabulous cook and would not allow you to leave her home without a fresh glass of tea and some good conversation.

Sandy is preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Olga Ender; her husband Theodore Paul Mazurkiewicz; her brother, Eddie Ender Jr. (Butch); her sister, Barbara Chandler; and her grandson Brendan Kyle Mazurkiewicz.

Sandy is survived by one brother: Micheal Ender, two children: Kevin Troy Mazurkiewicz, Wesley Paul Mazurkiewicz, and two grandchildren: Clay Remington Mazurkiewicz, and Ryan Hughes Mazurkiewicz.

Visitation will be 1-2 pm Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Massey Funeral Home. Funeral Service will begin at 2 pm. Interment to follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.
