Rodney Royce Flessner, 58, of Cuero passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024.

He was born March 14, 1966, in Cuero to Barbara Sager Flessner and the late Harlan Flessner. After graduating from Cuero High School in 1984, Rodney continued his education at TSTI in Waco to earn his Master Electrician License.

His love for electrical work began in high school when he went to work for Sager Electric. After receiving his certification, he became the owner of Sager Electric and Flessner Enterprises. Rodney married the love of his life, Stephanie Ann Dvorak on September 25, 2004, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and they made their home in Cuero. Rodney loved to build things and anything construction. He even built all the furniture in their home making these pieces even more special.

Rodney was a member of the Cuero Volunteer Fire Department, St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, and Cuero Booster Club.

Rodney is survived by his beloved wife, Stephanie Flessner of Cuero; mother, Barbara Flessner; sons, Chad Flessner of Victoria, Cody Flessner of Lubbock, Gavin Flessner of Cuero, and Korbin Flessner of Cuero; brother, Randall Ray Flessner and wife, Melissa, and their two daughters, Desirae and Alexis of Cuero; father and mother-in-law, Larry and Maxine Dvorak of Port Alto; brotherin- law, Bryan Dvorak of Seattle; grandchildren, Ayden Flessner of Yoakum, Alani Villa of Victoria, and Xavier Flessner of Victoria; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harlan Flessner; maternal grandparents, Albert and Norma Sager; paternal grandparents, Edwin and Maurine Flessner; and cousin, Debbie Sager.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 10 a.m., at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, with Pastor Paul Muehlbrad officiating. A time of food and fellowship will follow at the Procter Hall - Grace Episcopal Church.

Honorary pallbearers include Rob Lassmann, Chris Lassmann, Donny Spencer, and Jessi James.
