Paula Annette Hopkins
Paula graduated from Yoakum High School in 1987 and became a LVN nurse in 1987. She worked in various departments but later specialized in wound care.
She married Ricky Hopkins in 1993 and to this union three sons were born; Treven Hopkins, Michael Hopkins, Jamar Hopkins. Jamar passed away at a young age and Paula leaned on her faith to get her through. In 2015 she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Theology. Bishop Paula founded and pastored My Father’s House Church in Cuero until her passing. She had been appointed 2nd Presiding Bishop of C.O.R.E.G. Ministries under the leadership of Apostle Amos Horton, where she was the director of C.O.R.E.G. Women’s Ministries. Paula believed that you live by faith until your calling to be with the Lord.
Survivors are her children, Treven Hopkins, Michael Hopkins, Ricky Burden and Jazzman Burden; 7 grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn F. Armstrong and Geraline Armstrong; brothers, Ray Armstrong, Carlesly Armstrong and Randall Armstrong (Cynthia).; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents; son, Jamar Hopkins; sister, Georgia Armstrong; brother, Timothy Armstrong.
Funeral Service 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Thiele Cooper Funeral Home with Apostle Amos Horton officiating. Burial to follow at New Hope Cemetery.
