Wayne Lamar Buesing

Wayne Lamar Buesing, 85, of Nordheim, Texas, went to be with the Lord on December 3, 2024.

Wayne was born on April 15, 1939, to Hertha and John Buesing in Jim Welles County, Texas. He grew up in Runge, Texas, with his younger siblings and a multitude of cousins. He graduated from Runge High School in 1957 and continued his education at Texas A&I University, Kingsville, where he received his BS in Electrical Engineering in 1962. He went to work for CPL (later named AEP), in many field and office jobs throughout south Texas. Wayne also enlisted in the US Army in 1967 and served stateside until he was honorably discharged in 1968 as an essential employee of the power company.

In 1979, Wayne met Connie Hines in Runge, Texas. Connie and Wayne’s marriage created a wonderful, blended family that included 7 children, 22 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way.

In 2006, Wayne retired from AEP in Dallas and moved to Nordheim, Texas, to spend his time enjoying family and volunteering at the Nordheim Fire Department for many years. He was often found working with his hands, either repairing something around the house, maintaining the vehicles, or doing woodworking. When he could get away, he always enjoyed fishing throughout his life. One fond memory his family carries is Wayne watching the lightning storms, waiting to see if the power would go out and he would be called into work.

Wayne was predeceased by his wife Connie, his parents, sister Janice Level, brother Kirby Buesing, daughter Wendi Buesing, and son-in-law, Jacob Smith. He is survived by daughters, Connie Sue Ryan (Micheal), Jennifer J. Jones (Steven), Sharon E. Garcia, Diana D. Ramberansingh (Nigel), and Lynda K. Cerulli (Buck); sons, Ralph E. Hines Jr. (Tabitha), and Ray E. Hines (Crystal); grandchildren, Joseph Garcia, Madeline E.
