Aimeé Patrice Burwell

Aimeé Patrice Burwell, 68, of Houston passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024. She was born December 15, 1955 in Perryton to Paddy Lann and Aimee Lee Mannen Burwell. She earned her Associates Degree in Child Development. Aimeé was a teacher and retired child advocate as well as a school bus driver. Giving back to the school and community was very important to her. She also worked as a private caregiver to elderly and disabled clients. Although her greatest passion was for children, she also had a great love for animals.

She is survived by her father, Paddy L. Burwell; son, Richard Bowie Burwell; brother, Marvin Blair Burwell; step-brothers, Jeffrey R. Odom, Kyle D. Odom (Riely), Kenneth M. Odom (Elizabeth) and Clay G. Odom (Kourtnee) and her granddaughter, Charlotte Aimee Reece.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Aimee Lee Burwell and her step-mother, Bettye Burwell.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 23, 2024, 9:30 AM at St. John Lutheran Church – Westhoff. Funeral Services will begin at 10:30 AM at St. John Lutheran Church – Westhoff with Rev. Jan R. Putnam officiating. Interment will follow at Westhoff cemetery.

Pallbearers include M. Blair Burwell, Kyle Odom, Kenneth Odom, Clay Odom, Richard Burwell and Everett Odom.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Pet Adoptions of Cuero.
