Barbara A. McMahan, 73, of Victoria, passed away Jan. 10, 2018. She was born Jan. 25, 1944, in Cuero, Texas to the late Bonnie B. and Melanie J. Dieringer Buenger.
She was a former member of the Cuero Turkey Trotters Bowling League. She had a green thumb and loved plants, working in the yard and feeding the birds. She enjoyed going to the “country” which was where she grew up and looking at the cattle. Her favorite was named “Tailless”. She was an avid fan of George Strait, attending many of his concerts and even naming her beloved cat after him.
She is survived by her sons, Keith McMahan (Vickie) of Angleton and Mark McMahan and wife Kathy of Edna; grandchildren, Ashley Armstrong and husband Jimmy, Matthew McMahan and wife Betty, Elizabeth McMahan, Kayla McMahan and Christina McMahan; great grandchildren, Paityn Miller and Preston Armstrong, her brother, David Buenger and wife Julie, and her sister, Melissa Buenger.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Russell Wayne McMahan.
Graveside Services will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 13 at 2 p.m. at Hillside Cemetery in Cuero, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers are Matt, Barry, Gary, Ethan, and Jeff McMahan, and Kenneth Buenger.
