Blanca Gonzales, 89, of Westhoff passed away Sunday, June 26, in Victoria. She was born Jan. 26, 1933, in Yorktown to the late Hiliberto and Luisa DeLeon Suniga. Blanca was a homemaker with her late husband, Brigido Gonzales Sr. and together they raised seven children. She loved playing bingo, the lottery and a good game of poker.

Blanca is survived by her children, Brigido Gonzales Jr. (Wadonna) of Neosho, Missouri, Augustine Gonzales of Cuero, Henry Gonzales (Lottie) of Edna, Adam Gonzales (Kara) of Westhoff, Elida Sanchez of Cuero, Gloria Gonzales (Danny) of Edna, Joleah Gonzales of Cuero; brothers, Cruz Suniga of Victoria and Herminio Mejias of San Antonio; sister, Carolina Gonzales of Temple; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Brigido Gonzales Sr. and son, Herman Gonzales; brother, Roman Suniga; and sister, Eva Tamez; and grandson, Marlin Carriles.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday, July 1, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Westhoff with the rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. Funeral mass will begin at 10 a.m. with Father Jacob Mendoza officiating. Interment will immediately follow at St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Johnny Perez, Michael Gonzales, Chris Gonzales, Zack Bordovsky, Ryan Gonzales, and John Michael Perez. Honorary pallbearers include Brigido Gonzales Jr., Augustine Gonzales, Henry Gonzales, Adam Gonzales, Robert Ramirez, and Danny Guevara.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Freund Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
