Charles Glenn Wilson Sr.

Charles Glenn Wilson Sr., 88, of Victoria passed away on June 7. He was born July 21, 1933, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Oble and Lucy Wilson. He married Alice Fern Helms on March 19, 1964, in Port O’Connor. Charles proudly served his country in the Coast Guard working as a Seaman and a lighthouse keeper. After serving three years, he then transferred services to the US Air Force and retired in 1995 as a Tech Sergeant. Charles then became a kindergarten teacher for Cuero ISD for 17 years and retired in 1995. Mr. Wilson was a loving husband, father and grandfather to his family. He lived a full, eventful life full of purpose with humor and grace. He truly lived life to the fullest every single day.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Fern Wilson, two brothers and a sister.

He is survived by his daughters, Valerie Wilson and husband Steve of Main, Pam Baros and husband Mark of Cuero, Marianne and husband Ken of Victoria and son, Glenn Wilson and wife Lori of Briggs. Grandsons Shawn Arbor and wife Missy of Maine, Christopher and Rachel Buchhorn of San Antonio, granddaughters Jessica Wilson of Texas, Meagan and Eric Culak of Lexington, Cara and Randi Weeks of Maine, Kelley Wilson and Kaitlyn Wilson of Victoria and sister Karen Flora of Michigan. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.  

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 13, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. followed by a chapel service beginning at 10 a.m. at Grace Memorial Chapel, Victoria.
