Dr. Charles Wolf
Dr. Charles Lee Wolf, age 89, of Houston, Texas passed away Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019. He was born Nov. 27, 1930, in Yorktown, Texas to the late James Earl Wolf Sr. and Mary Anna Kunde Wolf.
Charles was born and raised in Yorktown, Texas. He was a graduate of Yorktown High School. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and he received his doctorate from the University of Texas School of Medicine at Galveston.
In 1953, he married his high school sweetheart, Peggy Jo Fechner, moved to Houston, raised a family, and practiced medicine. Together, they had four children, Charles Lee Wolf II, William Edward Wolf, Laura Lee Wolf, and Matthew James Wolf. After Peggy’s passing, Charles married, Lavada Board and together they had two children, Michael Board and Christylee Wolf.
Charles enjoyed family vacations, spending weekends at the lake, attending college and professional football games, and reconnecting with family and friends at Western Days in Yorktown.
Charles will be remembered for his dedication to both his family and work. He practiced medicine for over 50 years. Charles had a zest for life, which he lived to its fullest, never looking back.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, James Earl Wolf Sr. and Mary Anna Kunde Wolf, his brother, James Earl Wolf Jr., his sister, Mary Evelyn Wolf Sokol, his wife, Peggy Jo Fechner Wolf, his second wife, Lavada Board Wolf, his grandson, Charles Lee Wolf III, his granddaughter, Skyler Lavada Gressett, and his son-in-law, Jimmie L. Gill Jr.
He is survived by his children, Charles Lee Wolf II, William (Bill) Wolf, Laura Lee Wolf Gill, Matthew J. Wolf and wife, Gina Wolf, Michael Board and girlfriend, Lauren Keeney, and Christylee Wolf Gressett and husband, Tim Gressett. He his also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
His life will be remembered and celebrated in private ceremonies held by his family in Houston and Yorktown.
