Harlan Dale Brieger

Harlan Dale Brieger of Yorktown, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2023, at his home. He was born July 24, 1949, in Cuero, Texas to La Verne H. and Leona Lillie Metting Brieger.

On February 14, 1995, Harlan married Angie Garcia and just celebrated their 28th Wedding Anniversary last year. Aside from being a wonderful husband and father, Harlan was an avid fisherman and hunter. He served in the U.S. Navy and fought in Vietnam. He then became a fire fighter and retired from NAS Kingsville. He had many friends and co-workers who loved him dearly. Harlan also loved his Dallas Cowboys and wouldn’t miss a single game. He will be missed by all and especially his dogs, that he loved so much.

Harlan is survived by his wife, Angie Brieger; daughter, Ashley Rangel and husband Phillip; granddaughter, Madeline Rangel; niece, Megan Brieger; and several cousins and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, La Verne and Leona Brieger; and brother, Carey Brieger.

There will not be a public service for Harlan as per his family’s wishes.
