James Edward Denman

James Edward Denman, 86, of Nordheim passed away Thursday Sept. 7, 2023. He was born Feb. 1, 1937 in Cheapside, Texas to the late Curtis and Evie Arnold Denman. James proudly retired from continental airlines with over 35 years’ experience as an aeronautical mechanic. He served in the U. S. Army. James was also a master gardener. He never met a stranger, as he was a scholar in communication. He loved sharing stories and teaching the youngsters new things. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, tinkering and especially spending time with his family.

He is survived by his daughters Diane (David) Wilkerson of Seabrook, TX and Janet (Ken) Risinger of Sargent, TX, son Mark (Lottie) Denman of Pasadena, TX, grandchildren Kevin (Amanda) Wilkerson, Kristine (Michael) Ripley, Kelly (Matthew) Bukovicky, Chris (Alicia) Risinger, Kyle (Jessica) Risinger, Gena (Thomas) Hale, Kurt (Krislynn) Risinger, Blake (Stephanie) Denman, Austin Denman, Nick Doudican and Shanon Doudican, great grandchildren Hunter, Brooke, James, Colton, baby Dylan, Brayden, Landon, Parker, Ray, Zaden, Kayson, Kalidee, Kent, Addalynn, Carson, Bailey, Bryce and Claire. He is also survived by his brother Douglas Derwood Denman, sister-in-law June “Tiny” Buchhorn, brother-in-law Dick (Marj) Huck and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Dolores Ann Denman, siblings Roy Ira Denman, Elna Fay Grabeel, Lila Ruth Yarborough, Lorene “Rene” Shaffer, Betty Marie Nix and Lois Denman.

Visitation will be 4-6 pm Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Massey Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 2 pm Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Massey Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Nordheim Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Mark, Kevin, Chris, Kyle, Kurt, Blake, Austin, Michael, Matt, Thomas, Nick and Shanon.
