She retired from the state of Texas and went on to continue her service to her community by becoming a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. She was devoted to her clients until she chose to fully retire in 2017.

Mimi loved spending time with her family and hosted major holidays at her home in Cuero. Her favorite hobbies included gardening, cooking, reading, praying, and journaling. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her favorite phrase when going through hard times was “This too shall pass.”
