We are sad to announce the passing of our sweet sister, Judy Carol Richardson Kern of Round Rock, TX. Judy died at the age of 65 on October 6, 2023. She passed away surrounded by loved ones after a yearlong battle with cancer.

Judy was born in Burford, England on December 7, 1957. The family eventually moved back to Texas, and she graduated from Gregory-Portland High School in 1976. Judy took a photography class in high school where she discovered her life passion and future career path. She went on to graduate from East Texas State University in 1980. During her college years, Judy not only studied photography, but lived a very happy, special time in her life which included making lifelong friends, Elizabeth and Melinda.

After college, Judy moved to Los Angeles, CA where she spent many years as a professional photographer. Of the many celebrities Judy worked with during her 16 years at Comedy Central, Anthony Perkins was her favorite. She also loved the time she flew in a helicopter to photograph Las Vegas skyline for the movie, “Honey, I Blew up the Kid”. Working as the set photographer on “The Seinfeld Show” was another favorite memory of hers.

Judy moved back to Texas in 2016 to be closer to her family and began a new career that she loved with Ferguson Enterprises.

Judy is proceeded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Roy R. Clements JR., stepsisters, Alicia Clements Hannan and Taffy Clements Stapleton; Uncles Lee Schroeder and Clifton Boerm; Aunts, Gayle Schroeder and Irma Schroeder; brother-inlaw, John Love; and nephew, Seth Courter.

Judy is survived by sisters, Debbie Love of Georgetown, TX, Cindy McJunkin of Kyle, TX, Kim Uresti of Cuero, TX, Lisa Griffin (Allen) of Georgetown, TX, Suzanne Mikulenka of San Antonio, TX, a brother Roy R. Clements, III(Nadia) of Richardson, TX, Uncle Emil Schroeder of Taft, TX, Aunt Nelda Boerm of Alice, TX as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Judy requested donations be made to The Texas Oncology Foundation.
