Sandra "Sandie" Woods, age 70, of Houston, Texas passed away on Saturday, Feb. 5, after courageously battling cancer for many years. She is survived by her husband Jerald F. Woods, a stepson Skip Woods and her three precious granddaughters, Stormy Good, Skye and Snow Woods. She is also survived by her sisters Lynda (Leroy) Hiller and Nancy (Jerry) Kramer and brother Kenneth Peters; nieces Lorrie Jones, Stacy (Chris) Kuhn and nephew Scott (LeAnn) Hiller and grand nieces and nephews, Emily and Ella Hiller and Christian and Caitlyn Kuhn and Clay Jones and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
Sandie was born in Cuero, Texas April 16 1951 to Elroy and Helen (Kahlich) Peters. She graduated from Rockport-Fulton High School in 1969. She moved to Houston in 1975 and graduated from Houston Community College and attended the University of Houston. She worked in the oil and gas industry and in 1984 went to work for ARCO Oil and Gas/Vastar/BP until 2015. She made many cherished friends over those 30 years. She would like to thank all the loving moms of Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart Class of 2025 for their acceptance, support and help.
A Celebration of life for Sandie will be held Saturday, March 12 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079.
