1987: A big family

Editor’s Note: Thirty years have already passed since Cuero High School’s last state championship in football in 1987. In honor of that historic season, The Cuero Record will have stories throughout this season with players and coaches from 1987.
Cory Pargmann was a senior strong side linebacker and offensive tackle for Cuero during their run to the 1987 state championship.
“The whole season was just enjoyment, pure fun, from two-a-days to the last game,” Pargmann recalled. “We all enjoyed it. It was great. We got along great, like a big family, all brothers in there. Practice was fun. We enjoyed what we were doing. We made it fun.”
Even all these years later, Pargmann says a close bond still remains.
