Last Friday evening, the Cuero High School’s Fightin’ Gobblers engaged in a back-and-forth battle with their rivals, the Yoakum High School Bulldogs, squeaking out a 41-34 hard fought victory. It also was the night to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Gobblers’ 1973 State Football Championship and boy did our Mean Green Fightin’ Gobblers play like champions.
