“We’ve certainly had our ups and down, but the non-district race is certainly something that can benefit us in the long run, if we will continue to get better, continue to work on improving our consistency, just basic fundamentals,” Cuero coach Travis Reeve said.
“Sometimes going through some losses in the long run can help you maintain the right frame of mind and keep proper perspective.” Cuero’s perspective remains on their goals that have been before them all season, which are all still attainable.
“Whether you win all your [non-district] games or you lose them all has no bearing on playoff seeding and the district race and all the things you set out to do at the beginning of the year,” Reeve stated.
“I think our guys understand that, and we’re looking forward to a new season.”
