Gobblers face Navarro Panthers for Region IV title

It has become a tradition for Cuero and Navarro to meet in the football playoffs, as the two south Texas powers will play for the sixth straight season this Friday night at 7:30 at San Antonio’s Comalander Stadium. This year’s postseason contest will be their first in-season rematch, as the Gobblers defeated the Panthers, 43-7, to claim a district championship last month. The stakes are higher in December, though, with the winner representing Region IV in the state semifinals. “It’s gonna be a physical fight,” Cuero coach Travis Reeve said.
