The Cuero Record
With one game scheduled this past week, the Cuero Gobbler baseball team traveled to Ingleside this past Friday. As they rounded out non-district play the Gobblers would drop a tough one 3-2 to the Mustangs.
Cuero’s offense would come from Bishop Whitt and Arthur Barrera who both drove in a run. Whitt went 2-3 on the night with a triple and a single. Other Gobblers to register a hit were Kelton Dunn, Jerry Rossett, Will Carbonara, and Barrera. Patek also reached base courtesy of a walk.
The Gobblers will now shift their focus to district play that begins Monday, April 11, in Navarro. Cuero will return home Thursday, April 14, to finish up the two-game district series against Navarro with first pitch coming at 7 p.m.
