Gobblers sweep Flyers

This past week the Gobbler’ baseball team played in two games coming on March 16, in a double-header against Victoria St. Joseph at Riverside Park. In game one, Cuero would earn the victory 6-2 behind senior, Will Davis. Davis pitched six innings of work, striking out four batters. Offensively, the Gobblers were led by Caleb Nagel and Jerry Rossett, each tallying three hits. Brandt Patek added two hits and two RBIs, while the seniors, Dylan Mills and Daelyn Sepeda, each drove in a run.

In game two, it was the senior southpaw, Rossett, on the mound. Pitching six innings strong, Rossett would pick up the win fanning a total of 12 Flyer batters during the outing. Kelton Dunn notched two hits, plating a pair of runs. Patek added two more hits and drove in a pair on the way to the 10-4 victory.
