The Cuero Record

It has been a rewarding track season for Cuero High School senior Lebron Johnson. Already claiming district and area titles in the 100-meter dash, there was one more race left to clinch himself a lane at the state meet in Austin.

Getting the action started in Kingsville at the Region IV-Regional Track Meet this past Friday, Johnson galloped his way to the #2 seed in 100-meter dash. He finished second overall in prelims with a time of 10.67 seconds coming in behind Bay City’s Brice Turner(10.48), setting things up for an eventful Saturday.

Lebron also ran legs on the Gobblers 4x100 meter relay team that took first in prelims, and 4x200 meter relay team that would finish second. Both would move on to Saturday’s finals.
