Junior high Wildcats fall to Weimar

In a game that saw 96 total points put up, the Yorktown Junior High Wildcats feel to the Weimar Wildcats Thursday night. Weimar won by a score of 54-42.
Yorktown quarterback Drew Alexander hit Akeem Jones in the endzone for three touchdowns, and Jacob Guerrero for two more. On the ground, Guerrero, Joshua Sanger, and Richard Garza each carried the ball across the goalline for three more touchdowns. The Wildcats were successful on three out of six two point conversion attempts.
On Wednesday, the athletes of the Yorktown Fellowship of Christian Athletes took part in Fields of Faith in Gonzales, where Akeem Jones gave a brief testimony about his faith to the approximately 1,800 students in attendance. Fields of Faith in an annual event held at football fields, gyms, and baseball diamonds across the country.
