The Yorktown Kitty Kats added another win to the win column this past Tuesday night, Nov. 26.  Yorktown faced the Woodsboro Lady Eagles at home. Opening the game on a 13-2 run behind their effective full court press. The Kitty Kats jumped out to an early 17-6 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Coach Val Acree prides the way the Kitty Kats have got after it on defense to begin the year: “We are going to win games on defense. That is the thing we have focused on.”

The Kitty Kats have shown that in the early going of the season. They held the Lady Eagles to 16 first half points, and lead at halftime, 27-16. Woodsboro would go on an 8-0 run early in the fourth quarter to cut the lead to 10, but the Kitty Kats would finish the game strong by limiting the Lady Eagles to six points after the run.
